On a more positive note…
Our second (or possibly it was our third) shopping outing was a success. We not only found edible food, but also a drying rack and shower shoes for me. To wash and dry laundry here it costs 4.80 euro (almost $7 per load). We’ll rough it by hanging our clothes to dry.
Our meals have consisted of pizza, chicken, noodles, and our new favorite appetizer – bread with cheese and ham cooked in the oven. There’s also yogurt, peaches/pears, jelly, and fruit juice…but only one of us is brave enough to try these foods…
We also have mint chocolate chip ice cream! Just as good as at home, just in a smaller container (and more expensive).

Hi,
I enjoyed your note about the Irish cows, did you check to see if they have green eyes, after all when one thinks of Irish, we think green, and I noticed by the picture their fur is not green. Our neighbor across the street is very Irish so we were telling him this morning as he was walking by that you are in Ireland and saw Irish cows, naturally he got a real laugh from that, also mentioned the you mooed at them to see if they mooed back with an accent, I thought that was really cute.
Keep up the notes, it makes it fun to read your comments.
Love,
Grandma
