Crossing the Canal, the Rialto Way

Some time ago, Venetians decided they were tired of using gondolas to cross the canal so they built a bridge. Not just any bridge, though. This was going to be a huge bridge that spanned the whole canal while leaving enough room for boats to pass underneath. And it was going to have shop space in it. The result is the Rialto bridge, seen on postcards sent the world over. We saw it from the shores as well as on a boat.
