MacKat in Ireland

As we left Venice – with tears in our eyes 🙁 – we got some pretty good views of the Alps.  In fact, we could see them as soon as we left the train station.  The closer we got to Milan the taller they got and the better the pictures became.  As we waited to leave in the airport I took a few more snapshots.  Who knows when we’ll be back to see the Alps.

Sunday morning we had a few hours to kill so we paid the ridiculously high tourist fare for a bus ride. We sailed up the canal, got off, and sailed back down the canal. Along the way we saw:

• front doors leading out to the water
• a casino with a red carpet leading right out to the water
• taxi(boat) drivers
• floating bus stops
• ornately decorated buildings
• lots of sunshine

You can see it all for yourself below. This made for a perfect last few hours in Venice.
