the Canal, the Rialto Way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some time ago, Venetians decided they were tired of using gondolas to cross the canal so they built a bridge.\u00a0 Not just any bridge, though.\u00a0 This was going to be a huge bridge that spanned the whole canal while leaving enough room for boats to pass underneath.\u00a0 And it was going to have shop space in it.\u00a0 The result is the Rialto bridge, seen on postcards sent the world over.\u00a0 We saw it from the shores as well as on a boat.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-1 {\n\t\t\t\tmargin:
